What are some good SINGLE bass drum pedals?
I am looking for a really fast single pedal to work on my right foot technique. I love drumming to Zeppelin stuff but the current right side of my cheap double pedal isn't reacting fast enough for those "double bass type" hits. I was hoping some drummers could request some different pedals that they have had experience with that are very fast but also smooth and powerful. I looked into the Ludwig Speed King for a while but heard mixed reviews on it.
and with the speed king, I've heard the vintage ones are "better" than the new ones. Is this true?
I really would like to stay away from double bass overall and stick to just single for now.
