What is the fastest double bass pedal for death metal?

I am in a death metal band, and my ancient Iron Cobra pedals just aren't what they used to be. I was wondering, what is the fastest double bass pedal that you recommend for death metal drumming? Mostly for blast beats and fast double bass breakdown sections. Something that will glide smooth and have good tension. I'm not really on a budget, but I'm looking for something not too expensive, preferably below the $400 or $300 mark. Either way, if the pedal is good but expensive, I'll still check it out.
