is anyone else having trouble with the drum kits for guitar hero world tour on PS? {disconnection in wires?}?

I just bought the PS2 version of guitar hero world tour for my husband, the Red Drum pad stopped working, we took it apart and the wiring had disconnected. We soldered it back together, and it worked again for a week or so and then disconnected again, its been less than a month, and we have fixed it 4 or 5 times now, Is anyone else having this problem?

I have had mine only since Christmas, but I have not noticed any problems with the connection or disconnection in wires. You may have a faulty one and need to get it back to the store for an exchange. I wouldn't mention to them you soldered something though, as this may affect the implied warranty. If you have had it for awhile, then you may have to send it back to the company, and they will know something was done. Not trying to be dishonest, just real.
