Need help with replacing my drums heads?

I have a pearl EXR Export Series drum set with 4 toms. I am thinking about replacing the heads because they are pretty old. I for sure need to replace the Snare Head because it broke =/. I play mostly hardcore metal so what brand gives them a nice deep metal sound?

yeah the EC2s are nice. i just got them for my kit and am very happy with them. another popular head is remo pinstripes which are a little bit cheaper. for the snare, just go to the store and ask for a single ply coated snare head. these run maybe 5 bucks a piece? pretty cheap anyways. you could get one with the power dot in the middle, which might be good for metal. but then again, a head is a head. you may want to consider single ply heads for the toms if youre looking for a deeper sound with more sustain on the toms.
