Should I set up a music room?

My children, 5 and 4, already have a drum set, a guitar, and now an electric piano. I typically keep the instruments in the garage until the kids ask for them. But I don't want to keep the electric piano out there because it belonged to my husband's grandmother. What would the pros and cons be of converting our living room into a music room?
In order to just put them in there, stuff is going to have to come out.....my living room isn't very big.
I have been playing the piano and the guitar.
