Good medium/ hard yarn marimba mallets?

i got a pair of vic firth mallets last year (not sure which ones) and the head snapped off of them so i sent them in to the company and they sent me another pair and the yarn started ripping and falling off and they eventually snapped in 2 and i wasn't really doing anything bad with either of them just playing. So does anyone know a really good brand that will not brake easily and will last along time but i also want them to produce a good sound

All marimba mallets wear with time, so you're not going to find any that last forever. My personal favorites are the Innovative Percussion Soloist series. They have a wood shaft with a blue yarn head, and they come in any range (from extremely soft to extremely hard). A good medium mallet is the IP200, and a hard would be an IP240 or IP300. I've had mine for quite a while, and I really like the weight and sound they produce on the marimba. Check them out!
