My bass Drum Beater keeps falling out when ever i play too long, any way to fix this?

I have a gibraltar avenger 2 Double Pedal (love it) but when i play too hard sometimes the beater will fall out and i will have to stop playing and put the beater back in, tighten the nut, and then resume playing. If i could fix this without using tape or glue that would be amazing, but if there is no other way just say so and then tell me how i should fix it. I really appreciate this THANK YOU

had the same problem with my Iron Cobra doubles. you can't really live with it, because eventually the beater loosening and twisting will strike your head at a bad angle and destroy it. you can try using alot of teflon tape on the threads of the nut (it's usually used for fixing leaky pipes, but holds threads really well), or just use epoxy or another high strength bonding agent. i wouldn't let it continue to get loose though like i said, don't want to pay 50 bucks for a new batter head than 5 on some tape or glue. good luck.
