How do I make the drum resonate to its full potential?

I'm using Evans EC2 Coateds for the batter, Evans Genera G1's for the resonants on the toms. I'm using the Remo Powersonic's for the kick drum, and Remo Emperor X for the Snare Batter (Evans Hazy 300 snare side head), and all the drums sound dead. I've tried many different methods, and none of them have worked.

I think you are more concerned with what stupid brand/model of drum head you're using, but do not have any real clue on how to properly tension your drum heads to get a good sound. Believe it or not, but you really have to tune each head to a sonic frequencies to be able to get the best sound from a specific drum. Another problem could be that you have un-even tension on your adjuster's so that you're super-specia -wiz-bang specific brand/model are actualy installed warped.

Here is a page on wikipedia on drum set tuning. Pay special attention to "Drum set tuning intervals" at the bottom of the page. That may drove especially helfull in getting drums in a set to sound good together.

The more you know about drums (and music) the better player you'll become. Drumming is much more than just hitting a drum with a stick. The better you learn this, the less harsh you will be to your drum equipment, the less you'll be wrecking drum heads, the less you'll need super strong/ thick drum heads that don't naturally want to resonate well anyway!

Maybe you'll have to take your set someplace where they could set it up properly, if you can't understand the web sources on drum tuning. I can't even promise you that it will be very easy to find some one that ccould really do it well, and I can't imagine it will be very cheap. It is very
tedious and time consuming to get it right.
