my Snare Drum has a really bad ring in it, how do you get rid of this cause I cant figure it out?

I got this new head for my snare drum, its a remo weather king emperor x head with the dot in the center, I tried putting the Snare Head on and tuning it and it sounded horrible and the snare had a ring to it and it was rattling and everything and I didn't like it, so I had my friend who plays drums try to tune it and he couldn't figure it out, so I brought it to my local music store for them to tune it and the guy there tried to do it, I watched him tune it and everything and when he was finished it sounded pretty good it had almost zero ring or Radel to it, then when i go home and try to play it and it sounds even worse then before and i don't know what to do so if any one knows what i can do it would be a huge help so please someone help me out.

I hate Remo snare heads they always ring. One thing I did was to get a folded up peace of paper and tape it to the snare head that you hit to muffle it. It would always stop the ringing but still didn't sound that good. If you want heads without ringing, go for Evans G2 coated or HD heads, any evans heads are amazing for snare drums.
