I need help choosing a drum set!?

I'm looking for a new drum set within the price range of 400-700$. ( I can get more)
Can you recommend any great drum sets? I need one that you personally would use, that sounds almost like a professional kit.

My drum teacher referred me to PDP. He said they were extremely nice kits for the price.
So we saw these two in particular

One of the drum sets is on a big sale this weekend and would like to know if I should get one of the two or if you could recommend me to another.

PDP is decent..... they are basically part of DW (Drum Workshop, a company who makes very, very good drums) aimed at making cheaper kits for beginners. So DW has a good name for itself, but pdp has only been around since 2000. but they sound fine for your purposes.

i would also reccomend the pearl visions, or possibly the tama rockstar or mapex Q or V. at least take a look at em.

also, i would check out www.midwestpercussion.com cause they have amazing prices and new deals all the time.

one thing to keep in mind is that the "fusion" sizes are better suited for jazz since the drums are smaller in size. get a standard set if you want something well-rounded or better suited for rock.
