How do I install a snare strand on my Snare Drum?

I just bought a Gibraltar 14" snare strand, but I don't know how to put it on.
Help please?

If you look at the drum from the bottom you should see where the snare attaches. On one side is the lever that engages the snares (the snare Throw Off) and across from that should be a clamp with screws that hold 2 pieces of metal together. The snare should have a nylon strap on each end. What you do is lower the Snare Throw Off lever and loosen the screws on the throw off and the piece across from it. The nylon straps will slide in between these metal clamps on each bottom side of the snare drum. You don't want these too tight when you tighten the screws back since your throw off is down and when you lift it back up the snares will tighten a lot. So leave a little slack and just snug up the screws on each side. Then lift the snare throw off lever back up, if the snares are too tight to let the lever go all the way up then loosen the screws holding the nylon straps in place and give the snare a little more slack. Once you can lift the lever into place, tighten the screws holding the snare in place and use the big screw/bolt thing on the throw off to adjust the snare tension the way you want it.
