Latin Percussion Congas
Cuban "conga" music?
Went to the Club Tropicana in Havana last year. There was a glorious piece of latin music used in the finale of the show that our hotel also used (taped) to bid us farewell. I asked a couple of locals what it was called and they thought it was "Conga" - though neither knew who it was by.
It starts with a short burst of a solo violin on the edge of hysteria and then builds slowly to a great percussion-driven crescendo.
Since then I've tried all the usual suspects (Amazon, iTunes) that let you hear samples, but can't seem to find it. Any ideas?
