What drum kit should I get next?

I have a Pearl Forum Series Drum Kit. Are these professional drums? I know Pearl brand is probably the best out there. I just wondered about Forum series. Anyway, I was going to get another drum kit in about a year (not to replace my old kit, just for fun and I will have the money). I think Yamaha is great. I have checked out Yamaha Maple Custom and Stage Custom, and I love both. I also might want a vintage Gretsch or Ludwig kit, because I love 50's and 60's music. And I already got new cymbals. Zildjian A Customs and they are excellent. But yeah, what drum set would work for me?

I have a Yamaha Recording custom and wouldn't trade it for anything! I gig one to two nights a week and my kit has held up great for over 15 years. Great sound and "Stays" in tune. Ludwig I had when I was a pup and loved that as well. Before you buy, sit down and play the kit a couple of time to make sure you like it. When you buy a car you "test Drive it" and should do the same when buying a kit. GOOD LUCK!
