For my UK/Canadian cousins... Drum & Bass/dubstep is it more of a so-called "white thing"?

I'm a Jamaican-Guyanese american and when i talk to my cousins on either side of the family that ended up in the UK or canada they say they never really got into the dnb/dubstep scene, and that is all of them! About 20 people (10 my age, im 16) and so i was wondering if it is just my family or is it a white thing to like drum and bass and dubstep?

I don't know why your family missed out on that because dubstep is a huge deal in the UK and Europe. There are many genres that stem from dubstep like hyperdub, electronicdub, and breakstep.

Just analyze all the Dubstep artists and see where they come from.

Rusko - from Leeds, United Kingdom

Lung is from Cardiff, UK

Nero are drum and bass and dubstep producers from the United Kingdom.

.....thats just a few artists but still they all orginated in the UK.
