Does anyone have any advice on how to start yoga/meditation........?

I would really appreciate any advice. Whether it be videos, websites etc. I dont really have any money at the moment as I am a graduate. thanks be to all

With yoga, I think you should take classes for a while in person, so you know that you aren't doing something that will injure you or cause physical problems later on. A teacher can correct you, but a video can't!

Meditation is a lot safer to do and learn on your own, but if there is a meditation group of some kind at your college, you may look into that. It is good to connect with other people who meditate -- and many of them will be willing to help you and not require payment. You might also see if any of the meditation teachers in your area will accept some kind of trade, since you're a graduate student. It may very well be that they would be happy to do something like that.

Okay, that said! You can certainly learn online. I work for Ananda -- a spiritual organization that shares meditation, yoga, and a lot of other things, and we have a good video online:

You'll find a ton of resources on that website if you feel to learn more about meditation -- hundreds of free articles, for example. You may find in time that you want to go deeper, and in that case finding someone to learn from in person will help you. Or, you may be comfortable for a long time with just the basic technique. Either way, great!
